Gate 58

Bold. Hypnotic. Intentional. Studio One Eighty created the brand identity for Gate 58, a coffee shop built around the idea of transition. The client came to us with a clear vision: “I want it to feel like one sip of coffee could send you to the moon.” We said, say less.

The name “Gate 58” inspired a visual language rooted in movement and momentum. Just like a gate marks a point of departure, this brand represents the space between tired and awake, entering and exiting, thought and action. Red bars and white lines bridge visual gaps throughout the brand system, echoing how caffeine bridges energy shifts in our day. It’s design that moves with purpose.

The custom type feels slightly unhinged and raw, playing with distortion and structure. It hints at old transit signage and vintage ephemera, while still feeling sharp and experimental. The baby blue backdrop offers clarity and calm, a pause before the jolt.

From packaging and business cards to signage and takeaway cups, every touchpoint feels designed to fill the void and carry you forward. Gate 58 isn’t just a coffee shop. It’s a launchpad.
